A study showed, children who were given fatty food, rich in sugar, and preserved foods had higher levels of intelligence (IQ) is lower compared with children who get rich in vitamin and mineral intake.
"We found evidence that consumption of foods high in fat, sugar, and berpengawet closely related to low IQ scores in adulthood," said Kate Northstone, researchers from the University of Bristol.
In his research, and his team collected data Northstone 3966 children born between 1991 and 1992. Parents and children were given questions about their child's diet at age 3, 4, 7, and 8.5 years. Then the child's IQ was measured using a standard that applies when the child is 8.5 years old.
